I have the following Bethsoft games....

Morrowind
Oblivion
Fallout 3 (but removed since NV)
Fallout NV

.....which all play very well on my WinXP SP3 rig.

But ever since I made the BIG mistake of loading the Lonesome Road
DLC, Fallout NV became unplayable. Numerous crashes to desktop on
entering buildings, etc, even the store at Good Springs at the start

I did find a fix. I removed ALL DLCs by deselecting the data files
then moved the esm, bsa, and NAM files to a backup folder. Essentially
went back to the basic Fallout NV.

Now I can play Fallout NV with very few crashes.

My experience leads me to distrust Bethsoft DLCs, even though the ones
for Morrowind & Oblivion have no problems. I can no longer trust
Bethsoft to deliver trust-worthy DLCs. This is pertinent since I have
already pre-ordered Skyrim. I will NOT load any Skyrim DLCs until
months after release and I can see what other players experience is,
IF at all.

I really regret that the QA at Bethsoft seems to have gone to hell.

I've never had a single problem with any of Bethsoft's DLC's and I've added
every single one they released for Oblivion, Fallout and Fallout New Vegas.
Apart from Dead Money (which was ok) I thought they were all excellent.

You did patch the games appropriately?? Some of the DLC's require game
patches to be installed, without them, they wont work...

Well, I did have a lot of crashes with Old World Blues. Fast travel in
the Big MT seemed about 90% chance of a crash. I believe I read it's a
fairly common problem with OWB. But those too seemed to go away when I
installed Lonesome Road and the corresponding patch.

That would be *back* to hell, then... remember Daggerfall? Bethesda got
their act together with QA after that.

Most folk don't seem to be having problems, so I'm guessing the
solutions posted elsewhere on this thread are correct.
