30th of October release date stating windows XP and Vista compatibility.

Does that mean they're going to be updated in some way as I have all the
originals and I'd hardly call them XP/Vista compatible (DirectX 9/10).

If they have updated them do you reckon it will be made available as
patches to all those of us that bought the originals?
