Post subject: Gemstone IV - Beta 2a Uploaded Archived from groups: alt>games>diablo2, others (more info?)
One or two bugfixes, tweaking of monster levels, and the enabling of a
few monsters Blizz had not spawning in the game (Sand Fisher spiders,
Mosquito Nests, Swamp Ghosts and Bush Barbs).
Gemstone IV is now feature complete. Please use this thread to report
any further bugs.
Final version will be released in one week, barring any major bugs or
problems. This should be enough time for everyone to port over their old
characters and re-create their Gemstone-specific uniques and sets!
Following the release of the final version, everyone is welcome to
contribute ideas for features, uniques, sets, runewords, monster and
skill changes, etc etc. Gemstone IV will be updated regularly if there
is demand for it
(It will also be ported to 1.14 if there ever is a 1.14...)

SQOTD:
Are the fetish shamen supposed to re-spawn immediately? I found a
group of 4-5 that as soon as I whacked them they did like the Weebles-
Wabbles, just got back up. After taking advantage and level up twice,
I went on to hunt other things. Thanks,

They're not supposed to do that, no. Let me see if I can reproduce the
problem and figure out what's going on there.
I fixed an error related to sockets yesterday though. Once I fix this
Shamen bug I'll re-upload.

How odd. Once I have a character in act 3, I'll take a look. (The text
files seem fine.)
