"Y'know, I'm something of a transformation fetishist."

"You don't say. I'm something of a transformation specialist."

A group of four stood around outside the Pokémon Center, consisting of three
girls and one guy. Two of them, including the guy, could easily be mistaken
for cosplayers, but were unmistakably furries. People generally didn't go
about in samurai robes in this day and age, but for the minoTauros Keaton
and his wereNinetales sister, Kitsu, this was standard apparrel. Though
currently mostly human in form, their Pokéthropic nature was betrayed by
their tails and Keaton's horns, although Kitsu's hair didn't exactly break
the illusion, either. The two other girls were Amber Powers and her lover,
Heidi Lee. The former, a short-haired blonde wearing blue jeans, a white
t-shirt, and a green and tan Letterman jacket, could be considered playing
towards stereotype if she were less attractive. The latter, a brunette with
long, wavy hair, took her feminine assets and ran with them, wearing a
slightly more than flattering dress shirt with a black belt around her waist
and a tan skirt just barely visible underneath. By the way the effervescent
bisexual was cavorting with the man-bull, however, you'd hardly guess who
her real paramour is.

Heidi giggled. "I'd like to see that."

"Well, say no more," Keaton said, standing away from where he was leaning
against the wall. Raising his fists in front of him, he tensed his muscles
and rapidly became almost 50% larger and 100% hairier. Fleshy hands were
now cloven fists, and his face extended into a Tauros' muzzle. While his
robes had expanded with him, they had also spread open to reveal more of his
fur-covered chest.

Heidi clasped her hands and gasped. "You're *so* big!"

"I'm a lotta man, baby," Keaton said, putting his hands on his hips and
laughing.

Kitsu, on the side of Keaton opposite Heidi, kept her arms crossed against
her chest and growled. "A lot of bull is more like it." She leaned forward
slightly, looking past Keaton and Heidi and over at Amber. "Don't you think
it's rather improper for your chatelaine to flirt with *men* so
shamelessly?"

"I'm trying to tolerate it for the sake of overcoming my bi-phobia," Amber
replied, her eyebrow twitching as she otherwise mirrored Kitsu's posture
exactly. "It's *me* she always comes back to at the end of the day, all the
more... radiant for... exploring her indulgences. Just the same, maybe
*you* could reign in your Lothario of a brother."

Heidi giggled and wrapped her arms around Amber. "You're adorable when your
jealous," she cooed before whipping back around to Keaton so fast Amber
nearly fell over. "You wanna go all the way now?"

"What!?" Amber exclaimed.

"Sure!" Keaton acknowledged.

"Now hold on a second..." Kitsu started.

And in that second, Keaton had switched to full-Tauros form. Heidi giggled
ecstatically and climbed on his back.

Amber's bangs shaded her eyes as the corner of her mouth twitched. "Of
course. *Transform* all the way."

"What *were* we thinking?" Kitsu added, coughing into her fist.

"So what happens to your clothes?" Heidi asked. "And your sword?"

"You know, I don't think I ever gave it much thought," Keaton replied. "I'm
usually just glad they come back."

"I guess it's not like you need them," Heidi said. She lay face-down on
Keaton's back, gently stroking his fur. "Your fur is so soft and warm..."

Amber stepped away from where she was leaning against the wall, put her
hands in pockets, and walked around Keaton. Standing uncomfortably close to
Kitsu, she put one hand on the wall behind the samurai girl's head and
leaned in with lowered eyes and an almost predatory smile. "So, Kitsu...
You wanna go 'all the way'?"

Kitsu blushed fiercely and her eyes went wide. "P...pardon?"

Keaton's head slammed into the wall between the two girls, separating them
and leaving a nasty crevace. He then hooked a horn on her kimono and
flipped her onto his back.

Amber put her hands on her hips. "Never underestimate a brother's
protective nature, huh?"

Heidi wrapped her arms around Kitsu's chest, half-burying her face in her
tails. "My Amber is so clever, isn't she? She's probably the smartest
person I know!"

"Uh, babe? I'm down here," Amber interjected.

"Could you move your hands a little lower?" Kitsu requested, squirming a
little in the lascivious brunette's grip. "I'm a little ticklish around
here..."

"C'mon, that's practically *begging* me to fondle you," Heidi remarked,
almost protestingly.

Kitsu's squirming quickly turned to struggling as she attempted to pry
Heidi's arms off. "Um... I'd like to get off now..."

"Oh, dirty talk!" Heidi said as she moved a hand down to Kitsu's thigh.
"Now you're getting in the spirit!"

"Aaaand off you go!" Amber said, grabbing Heidi by the collar and hauling
her off Keaton's back. "Let's let the nice furry lady keep her maidenhead
now, alright?"

"Aw..." Heidi whined plaintively. She turned back to Kitsu and pressed her
hands together. "Sorry if I got more frisky with you than your liking. I
can get carried away sometimes. I wasn't *really* going to anything like
that, honest!"

Kitsu crossed her arms and turned her head away from Heidi. "Apology
accepted."

"Can I watch you change now?" Heidi asked eagerly.

"Transform," Amber corrected.

"Watch you transform now?" Heidi recalibrated.

Kitsu crossed her legs and lifted her head snootily. "I'm not sure you
deserve it."

"Aw... Please?" Heidi begged. "I'll be good from now on. Promise."

"Yeah, be a sport, Kitsu," Keaton said. "You've got a great
transformation!"

"And you're such a fox!" Heidi added. Amber smacked her upside the head.
"Ow! I mean, you're such a beautiful, noble, pure, and, above all, chaste
and unspoiled fox!" In a lower tone, she added, "Just the way I like 'em...
At first..."

"I heard that," Amber said, smacking Heidi again. "Play nice like you
promised."

"Yes, ma'am," Heidi said.

Kitsu smirked down at them. Then she sighed and stood on Keaton's back.
"All right, I'll do it."

"Whoa, hey, wait," Keaton said. "You're not going to..."

Gripping her Hellstrike Bisento in one hand, she enveloped the entire length
of the polearm in flames. Twirling herself around, she created a curtain of
fire around herself that spun like a tornado. It soon dispersed into a
shower of harmless sparks, revealing a somewhat taller, slightly more
filled-out, but exponentially hairier Kitsu. Fingernails were now claws,
and her face had narrowed into a Ninetales' muzzle. Her kimono had hung
somewhat awkwardly on her before, but had retained its size to become a
perfect fit, the chest open just enough to reveal cleavage were it not for
the large tuft of fur blocking the view.

Amber and Heidi applauded.

"My back!" Keaton wailed. "You burned my back! How could you? You
monster!"

"Please, I barely singed it," Kitsu scoffed. "Besides, you were complicit
with this incident at the very least, so as far as I'm concerned we're
even."

"Now go all the way!" Heidi cheered.

"Alright!" Kitsu complied, raising her bisento. "By the way, Keaton,
remember that one time, in the castle gardens?"

"C'mon! I was only six at the time!" Keaton protested.

"No, I already got you for that one," Kitsu corrected. "The *other* time."

Keaton paused to think for a moment. "Could you be more specific?"

A tower of flame later, and a Ninetales sat on the back of a char-black
Tauros. Kitsu hopped off as Keaton toppled over, then she sat at Heidi's
feet.

Heidi chortled as she rubbed Kitsu's head. "Good doggy."

"Fox," Kitsu corrected.

"You got that right," Heidi purred.

"Enough with the puns," Amber whispered to Heidi. "You saw what she just
did to her own brother, right?"

"Relax while you can, Heidi," Kitsu sang. She glared peircingly. "I've got
a *long* memory. Expect to be burnt when you least expect it."

Heidi sweatdropped as Kitsu cackled ominously. "I'll be scared now..."

It's going to be Ratcliffe, since I positioned his Secret Base near
Lillycove so he'd be on the way. Should we wait to see who else shows up?
Aside from a couple pithy comments, all I have in mind at the moment is
brute-force plot advancement.

Keaton snapped his fingers. "Now I remember you! We met at the Silver
Conference, right?"

"Yeah," Derek replied. "We joined your party for a while."

"Really? Wow," Keaton said, scratching the back of his head. "I can't
believe I forgot that."

"He wasn't with us very long," Kitsu explained. "No offense, but you didn't
leave that great an impression."

"That's alright," Derek shrugged. "I'll just have to leave a bigger
impression this time, that's all."

The sudden sound of a twig snapping caught the group's attention. Not too
far off, a tall, dark man approached. The snapping of the twig was likely
an intentional act for the sake of making an entrance, as the twig was, in
fact, in his hand. He was most likely an Aenarian hybrid, judging by the
large pair of horns sticking out from the afro that settle around his ears
and above his eyes. He wore the white robes and puffy pants typical of a
samurai, as well as a sword at his hip, a bandana around his afro, and a
grim expression on his face. His wooden clogs clacked against the pavement
a couple yards away from the party.

"Another minoTauros?" Amber remarked.

"Wow, he's just like Keaton," Heidi noted.

"What are you talking about?" Keaton asked, keeping an eye on the newcomer
and hand on his sword. "He looks nothing like me."

"Well, you're both part Tauros, and you're both samurai," Heidi elaborated.

"He's got bigger horns, he's got bigger hair," Keaton listed off. "I think
he might be taller than me, too."

"His sword's a mite more impressive, too," Kitsu added.

"I didn't say he *looked* like you," Heidi explained. With a grin, she
added, "And I don't think he's bigger than you in *every* department..."

"Heidi," Amber said kurtly.

"What? I only meant his muscles," Heidi said innocently. "Keaton's *way*
more buff than this guy."

"I'm so glad we got that out of the way," Kitsu said sarcastically as she
stepped forward. "I assume you were sent by the so-called Deoxys."

The afro-bearing minoTauros nodded. "Nothing personal. I was promised the
Hellstrike."

"So, hypothetically, if I just gave you my bisento, you'd just leave us
alone?" Kitsu inquired, the weapon in question resting on her shoulders.

"No," the so far nameless samurai replied.

"A man of few words," Kitsu noted. "Just as well. I wouldn't hand it over
to you anyway. The Hellstrike is of personal importance to me, as it
belonged to my hero, the great Vulnona Feunard."

"You're wrong," the big-haired warrior stated. "I will take it back."

"Pardon?" Kitsu inquired, a look of shock on her face.

"You and what army, buddy!?" Keaton exclaimed.

"Prinplup!" "Prinplup!" "Prinplup!" Right on cue, a massive squadron of
Aenarian Prinplup hybrids appeared from nowhere, leaping out from the
shadows and bushes and gathering around the samurai.

"You really just wanted to say that, didn't you?" Kitsu deadpanned as
readied her Hellstrike.

"I figured he'd have back up," Keaton answered, drawing his sword. "I
didn't think he'd bring an actual *army*, though."

"Waiting for your command, dude!" the lead penguinman reported excitedly.

"Keep them busy," the samurai said before charging straight for Kitsu with
sword drawn.

Keaton rushed forward, locking blades with the nameless hybrid. "You want
my sister? You'll have to go through me first!"

The samurai grunted, shoving the Prince of Nidon away from him. Meanwhile,
the Prinplups drew a pair of combat knives each and began swarming around
the rest of the party.

"These guys don't look so tough," Amber said as she tossed a PokéBall into
the air. "Probopass! Discharge!"

"Pass!" the big-nosed Compass Pokémon declared as it emerged in a flash of
light and hovered over the ground. Its Mini-Noses hovered in front of it,
gathering a ball of electricity between them before releasing in a shockwave
that electrified a number of the Prinplups.

"Tangrowth, Vine Whip!" Heidi declared, opening a PokéBall. The massive
Vine Pokémon appeared in front of her and began slapping around Prinplups
with its whips.

"Why am I not surprised you have a Pokémon covered in tendrils?" Kitsu
inquired rhetorically. Her Hellstrike burst into flames as she swung it,
releasing a wave of fire that fried another group of Prinplups.

"You can play with him later if you want~?" Heidi offered cheekily. She
glanced around at the singed and beaten penguinmen laying around her. "Wow.
These guys *aren't* that tough."

"Eat it, dude!" a Prinplup called out as it leapt into the air. He slashed
at the air with his knives, sending a barrage of Sonic Boom projectiles at
Amber. Probopass threw itself in the way of the attack, blocking the waves
with its body.

"They certainly aren't shy about attacking humans," Amber noted.

"Dude!" "Dude!" "Dude!" Three more Prinplups threw themselves at Heidi,
brandishing bombs. Tangrowth swept her aside, taking the bomb attacks
itself. She then climbed up its back, where Tangrowth covered her with its
vines.

"Ha! Now I'm totally protected!" Heidi cheered.

"Prinplup, dude!" another Prinplup shouted as it lunged at Kitsu with its
knives. Her bisento hooked his belt as she lifted him into the air and
threw him at another group.

"It's not exactly a fashion statement," Kitsu said to Heidi.

To be continued...

Cass had come to accept that strangeness was a given in her life,
between her sister being the descendant of extraterrestrials and the
company she kept. Still, being attacked by a horde of kamikaze penguin
people was far from normal. Nonetheless, they were attacking her
friends, and there was only one thing to do about that. “Jolt, go!”

Alex was just as surprised with what she was seeing as her sister,
but had less difficulty accepting it. She was a little saddened at
having to fight the penguin people, however, as she’d always been fond
of Piplup’s evolutionary line. Still, they were attacking her. “Let’s
rock and roll, Nadyra!”

Both the Manectric and the Meganium appeared on the field, causing
the oncoming Prinplup hordes to pause. They looked at the Herb Pokémon
and the comparatively-diminutive Discharge Pokémon at her side, and
soon started laughing.

“Dude! They’re, like, sending these guys at us?! A puppy and a big
lizard?!”

“Dude! What are they gonna do, make sad faces at us?!”

“Dude! We can beat ‘em off and hurt those oversized humans –!”

The last of the lead trio was promptly hit with a Shock Wave
attack. Static running over his body, Jolt quickly barked, “<This
puppy is a devil dog, and don’t you forget it!>”

“<Ooh-rah!>” At the odd look from the Manectric beside her, Nadyra
managed a sheepish look. “<Sorry.>” She then fired off a Magical Leaf,
striking another attacker while he was still stunned by his comrade
going down.

“So this is what Deoxys the False sends to rough us up! Call me
unimpressed!” A grin curled on Alex’s lips as she pulled out her pike.
“Cass, you stick close to Derek and the Pokémon! I’ll show these guys
why they shouldn’t have messed with us!”

“Sounds like a plan, sis! Kick their butts!”

Before Alex could charge into battle, however, she sensed a
presence approaching and jumped back as a grayish-purple blur shot
past her. She instinctively moved away from her sibling, hoping to get
more distance both to protect her and to maneuver, and kept her weapon
at the ready as her opponent faced her. The newcomer was clearly
female, and based on her svelte frame, backswept ears and long curled
tail with a poof of white fur at the end, it didn’t take much to guess
that she was some Aenarian Glameow hybrid. Her attire, unlike her
apparent samurai associate, was more like the popular depiction of a
ninja, close-fitting and dark-colored, her dainty feet and hands bare
as she faced the tall young woman.

“My, aren’t we a tall one?” the ninja Glameow-girl extended claws
from both hands, her eyes fixed on Alex as if she were a mouse or
canary to be played with before eating. “Why don’t you and your
friends step away from our targets, and let our lord do his business?”

A grin, and she replaced her pike. “Sorry kitty, but they’re
friends of mine, and your lord targeted other friends of mine not too
long ago. You want them, you go through me.” She then assumed a ready
stance, gesturing with one hand for the catgirl to bring her worst.

The ninja obliged, charging towards Alex with her arms extended
behind her. As she closed the distance, Alex made a sweeping
roundhouse kick, and the ninja dove low and dodged, sliding under the
kick. She rose back to full height and swiped with one of her claws,
but found her arm caught by Alex’s, the claw uselessly scratching
against the metal armor on her left gauntlet as the taller woman’s
right arm closed for a punch. The Glameow-girl wasn’t fast enough to
dodge this blow, and found herself stumbling back from the attack. She
recovered quickly, rubbing a paw against her face in surprise before
looking at her opponent. “No human could possibly move fast enough to
hit me!”

Alex grinned. “Your lord should’ve told you – I’m more than human!”

The Glameow-girl grinned in turn and armed herself with a pair of
short metal yantok. Alex immediately armed herself with her pike, and
the two continued their fight.

Watching from a distance, Derek chuckled. “Obviously, Alex hasn’t
changed much!”

“You kidding?! She’s enjoying herself again!” Narrowly averting
being hit by one of the penguins thanks to Derek’s quick actions, Cass
continued, “Having that new boyfriend’s done wonders for her attitude!
Speaking of time gone by, what have you been up to since Fortree?!”

TBC!

Jolt and Nadyra halted their attacks as the Prinplup legion fled,
Cass turning skyward and following the retreating Salamence. She
promptly recalled her Manectric and called to her sibling. “Alex, the
party’s leaving!”

“I noticed!” The younger of the sibling duo was still dueling with
the Glameow-girl, using her pike to parry each blow from the ninja’s
twin Escrima sticks. She wondered why her opponent hadn’t fled, but
guessed that it was for the same reason she refused to flee herself –
not wanting to leave a job unfinished. Though odds were, she’d just
been biding her time the entire…

Alex tightly shut her eyes as the ninja unleashed a brilliant
Flash, moving her pike away in one hand while reaching out and
grabbing hold of her opponent’s neck with the other. Her hand closed
around something, but it was far too hard to be a neck. She opened her
eyes to find herself holding tight to a slender log. Tossing it aside,
she then stowed her pike and recalled Nadyra to her Poké Ball. “Time
for us to fly, sis!”

“Couldn’t have put it better! Let’s go, Hot Shot!” Her Dragonite
appeared before her and knelt down, both sisters climbing onto his
back. Despite the head start made by the Salamence, they’d more than
make up for it. “Hey Derek, you coming?!”

As the army fled, Torch seemed to instantly sober up in appearance,
apparently not having had to actually get drunk to practice his art.
Meanwhile, weapons seemed to continue to clash until a momentary
distraction led to the staff breaking in half under a particularly
nasty swing of Derek's weapon of choice.

Casting aside the twin sticks, apparently useless as a weapon, the
Sandslash fighter gazed upon his adversary. "I see. I am afraid that
we will have to finish this another time," he stated surprisingly
politely. Though the Sandstorm that brewed about him was a bit much.
Derek tensed, waiting for a strike that never came, the man taking
leave under the cover of the sands.

"Definitely coming," he said, holstering the heavy weapon. "Though I
don't have a dragon to ride on. Torch, something tells me that you
will be needed later. So rest up," he said, recalling the fighting
chicken.

[NS: I think it'll be entertaining. If you need a plot device to
spare that poor Dragonite of yours, I have one in mind that's amusing
in theory.]

“Ride with us! Seriously, Hot Shot can handle the weight!” The
Dragonite shook his head at his trainer’s protest, immediately
sparking surprise from Cass. “What? He can’t be that heavy!”

“I don’t think it’s his weight that Hot Shot’s worried about, sis.”
Glancing over her own physique, Alex had little trouble admitting,
“Let’s face it, we’ve both put on a few extra pounds.”

The redhead had far less ease admitting such than her sibling, but
she didn’t argue the point. She looked to their wanderer friend.
“Well, whatever idea you have for keeping up, I’m all ears.”

[NS: Go for it. I just hope whatever it is lets Derek keep up.]

Sounds like a good plan to me.
