Pale Master. How to play?

I wanted to try the Pale Master. My question is what tips/tricks can
you share.

Also, what tactics do you use in combats with the Pale class.

The reason I ask is because I just don't get Pale Masters.

Most people don't so much play a pale master as use a few levels of pale
master to improve a build.

Builds like 9 wizard, 10 red wizard of Thay, 10 pale master, 1 cleric, or 9
wizard, 1 pale master, 10 Arcane scholar, 10 red wizard are the sort of
thing peo-le go for. Basically you are giving up some spellcasting power
for the armored toughness and meat-shields that pale master y provides.
