I loved the original game and I can't wait for this one. After the massive
disappointment that was Arcania.....

Never played Arcania. I thought Risen was ok but nowhere near as good as
Gothic 2 or 3. For one thing the world was just too small, you could go
from one end to the other in a couple of minutes and felt a bit too sparce
with not enough variety. The combat was good though, it felt a bit more
precise and refined than the previous Gothics.

I'm looking forward to R2 but will probably wait until prices go down as
usual.
