Decided to play it after buying it when it came out.Smile

Re: the combat factors superimoised on the map. I see the reason now.
When you zoom out they are still the same size whereas factors on the
counter would be gone. While I dont do tactical movement zoomed out I
do use it to redeploy, rebase, move units that have a long way to go. It
comes in very handy.

I'm rather enjoying the game. I like the event choices. Like be harsh
or not to the poles and russians. More money but more unrest and
partisans. But hey..if you're a nazi can't be too nice:)

Supply is done nicely and tough in the Med. I can't waltz through like
other games, even on normal difficulty.

And the Russian-Finnish war is down right stressing on the Fins:)

Must go DL Barbarossa now:)

Make sure you get the current patch and prepare for another one very
soon (according to the forum). Installing that MAY make your current
game incompatible, though. Supposed to make naval combat more
difficult and air-ground attack less effective.

Couple of nice graphics mods available allready - especially the one
improving the visibility of cities' port and supply source status.

It's been suggested that for the most challenging campaign set your
human-controlled nations to -50% supply and all your AI-controlled
ones to +200%. In my campaign at the momentrt, the Iraqis have more PP
that the USA.

Haven't played an Axis scenario yet.

Hmm thanks for the heads up. Dang, already played a lot of turns in
the axis campaign. But I'm close to minsk Jan 1941 and while its great
fun perhaps I better set the difficitly to what you say..its just that
it took so long to just get here.

I defintely can't see the ports/towns well so thats a good mod. I
don't think the ground air is that bad but the fact you can build so
many would make it so.

The finnish war wasn't a scenario...it came about during my campaign
as the Russians attacked. Caught me off guard unit wise. Was doing bad
till I figured I can send PPs to them which I did in droves. Seems
like you shouldn't be allowed to send that many though..but makes it
open ended.
